The Town Tavern Copley menu runs from shareables and Jumbo Tavern Wings through prime burgers and handhelds to tavern entrées and a Fresh Catch board with walleye, perch, salmon and Creole catfish. Order or reserve through the Montrose Toast storefront, or call 234-262-9187 with a question.
Seven printed sections, one kitchen, and a range that goes from a giant Bavarian pretzel to an 8 oz filet without changing its mind about quality. Here is what each section actually holds.
Shareables open the book and they are not shy. Game Time Nachos are built on grilled chicken, three cheeses, jalapeños, pico, cilantro and lime. Jonah crab claws arrive steamed and chilled by the half pound with garlic aioli and melted butter. There is a candied bacon and onion dip with four cheeses and chipotle, a creamy buffalo chicken dip, and truffle fries under shaved parmesan, roasted garlic and rosemary.
The wings section is its own chapter: traditional, hand-breaded boneless, or five vegan wings, all of them going into the same sauce board — Tavern Hot through Thai Chili, Carolina Tangy Gold, Mike's Hot Honey, Jack Daniel's BBQ, and Cajun or Jerk dry rubs. The sauce is the decision; the wing is just the delivery.
Prime burgers come with fries and are worth reading slowly. The Classic is two patties done properly on a brioche bun. The Chipotle Ranch Cheddar and Bacon leans on candied bacon and steak butter. The Faroe Island Salmon Burger is fresh salmon with capers, lemon zest and lemon-pepper aioli, which is a rare thing to find on a burger list at all.
Handhelds bring the Philly with shaved prime rib and horsey sauce, a French dip with Swiss and au jus, a Maine lobster roll on a New England brioche bun, and a buffalo chicken grilled cheese on sourdough. Entrées move up a gear — filet, hand-cut strip, double-cut pork chop, slow-roasted Amish half chicken, Boom Boom chicken skewers with an Ohio roasted corn salad.
The Fresh Catch board is the Copley signature: cedar plank salmon with citrus herb butter, chargrilled walleye with pork-belly brussels, Creole catfish over dirty rice, and a hand-breaded perch basket. Flatbreads, the prosciutto and fig salad, build-your-own power bowls and three desserts — chocolate lava cakes, carrot cake, key lime pie — close it out.
Prices are not printed on this page on purpose. The list above came out of the tavern's own historical menu file, and the only current, guaranteed pricing is the one showing on the Montrose Toast storefront at the moment you order. Check it there and you will never be surprised at the table.
If you are budgeting a group, the shape is the useful thing: shareables and dips at the light end, wings and burgers in the middle, and the steaks, the walleye and the lobster roll at the top. Call 234-262-9187 if you want the current number on a specific dish before you commit a table to it.
Takeout goes through Copley's own Toast ordering storefront, filed under the Montrose name. Tables go through the matching Toast reservations page. Both belong to this address rather than to the brand, so what you see is this kitchen's list.
For anything the form will not take — a sauce on the side, a big order, a question about the catch — the phone is 234-262-9187 and it rings in the building.
The kitchen's week starts at 11am Monday to Friday and at 9am on Saturday and Sunday, and the room does not close until 2:30am. If you want the entrées and the fish without a crowd, an early weeknight table is the easy answer.
Late is the other good answer. Very few rooms in this part of Ohio will put a French dip and a basket of perch in front of you after midnight, and this one does it seven nights a week.
The Town Tavern Copley, 125 Montrose W Ave, Copley, OH 44321 · 234-262-9187 · Mon–Fri 11am–2:30am, Sat–Sun 9am–2:30am.
The same book is printed for the Green menu in Uniontown, so if that address is closer tonight you are not giving anything up.
